RACHEL MALINOWSKI
Coach Rachel comes to HP with a variety of experience both playing and coaching volleyball.
Right out of high school, Rachel played at Southeastern Community College (SCC) in Iowa from 2018-2020. She succeeded a total of 687 kills and 613 digs in her two years as a Blackhawk. She received All-Tournament Team Region XI-B and Honorable Mention All-Conference. She also holds several top 10 volleyball records at SCC as well.
After her two year’s at SCC, Rachel transferred to Wayne State University. She continued her athletic and academic career, majoring in Health Psychology and a Minor in Sociology. In her senior year, Rachel helped the volleyball program reach a successful record of 20-9 overall and 11-4 in the conference. With this record, the volleyball program at Wayne State University was invited to the NCAA DII Championship, which hasn’t happened for this program in over 20 years. Rachel earned Athletic Director Honor Roll (3.5+ GPA) in her two years at Wayne State University.
After her playing career was over, Rachel returned to SCC where she was the Assistant Coach for two seasons. Rachel is excited to join the HP family. She is looking forward to spreading her love and knowledge of the game to our athletes!
