ROSS TALBOTT
Ross is a highly respected coach in the volleyball community, having 15+ years of coaching experience as well as 25+ years of experience playing competitive volleyball. He has been coaching club volleyball for 15 years at the National level. He was the varsity coach at Rochester Stoney Creek High School from 2016-2023. He has now taken on a varsity assistant position at Bloomfield Hills High School. Ross has gained his skill and knowledge not only from playing but from coaching at all levels including high school varsity and sub varsity as well as middle school ages. In the past Ross has also coached at Waterford Kettering High and Lake Orion High.
Throughout his coaching career Ross has coached four Miss Volleyball athletes, Ava Brissard (NC State class of 2022), Julia Bishop (MSU class of 2021), Maddy Chinn (Purdue class of 2018), and Gia Milana (Maryland/Baylor class of 2013). In addition he has taken Stoney Creek to one regional final and won 5 district championships (2017, 2018, 2019, 2021, and 2022) and in 2017 Ross’ club team took 5th place at AAU Nationals.
Ross looks to instill in his athletes the dedication, desire, and willingness to be the best student-athlete they can be. He wants them to walk away from the program having learned life lessons about themselves, how far can they push themselves to achieve every dream and goal a player may have.
